Mission Statement

Pray using the gifts of the Holy Spirit which Jesus Christ pours out upon us

From the breath of God the word is proclaimed

The Holy Spirit perfects our service in the world

Fear not the Lion of Judah has prevailed

We as a family are to bequeath to all humanity the fullness of the Spirit received on the day of Pentecost

CHARISMATIC means using the gifts given to us by the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised, in ACTS 1:8 “you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Recent popes have clearly called for a new outpouring of the Holy Spirit to assist us in the New Evangelization needed by our world. Charismatic Prayer groups all over the world are responding to this call. Lion of Judah Prayer Group gathers to respond to the call in union with the Charismatic Catholic Renewal Ministries in the Diocese of Phoenix. Our new liaison is Auxiliary Bishop Eduardo Nevares. Prayer groups exist to further the work of the Holy Spirit and His gifts in us and in the world. This enables us to be part of the evangelization on our own journey, in our families, in our parish and beyond. We have music to move us from the praise into worship of God, which leads us to be opened and receptive to the leading by the Holy Spirit. We are asked to grow into the image and likeness of God, in order to bring His kingdom here on Earth, through the power of the Holy Spirit. This enables us to go beyond our Sunday Mass and to cooperate with the Holy Spirit’s call for the renewal in his chruch and in the whole world.

We invite you to come and join us every Wednesday evening at 6:30pm in the South Annex. Experience the joy of praising and worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If there are any questions we can answer for you, please contact: JoAnn Duffy at (480) 945-2990.
